COR-Energy Gas Station
Ukraine has launched its first COR-Energy gas station, capable of operating autonomously and charging electric vehicles solely with solar energy.
The complex also includes a station with conventional fuel types, a farm for breeding Australian crayfish, a lake, and a balanced nutrition restaurant.
In mid-September, in the village of Kalynivka, Brovary district, Kyiv region, on the Kyiv–Chernihiv highway, the country’s first next-generation energy-efficient fueling complex COR-Energy began operations.
At the heart of COR-Energy is a hybrid solar power station, mounted as a canopy made of 432 solar panels, with a total capacity of 180 kW and storage of up to 500 kWh. The canopy supplies power to two high-speed charging stations, allowing seven electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously via CCS 2, GB/T DC, Type 2, and CHAdeMO connectors, as well as to the entire complex infrastructure. More than UAH 200 million was invested in the construction of the COR-Energy fueling complex.
Thanks to this, COR-Energy is currently the first and only gas station in Ukraine capable of charging electric vehicles exclusively with solar energy, without connecting to the general power grid during the spring and summer seasons and in autumn.
The concept of the COR-Energy gas station was developed by entrepreneur Tygran Amalyan:
“This project can be considered one of the elements supporting the country’s energy security, as it can not only operate autonomously, but also supply surplus electricity to the power grid.”
Another solution for energy autonomy is the use of two geothermal heat pumps, each with a capacity of 45 kW, which will heat premises with a total area of 2,000 m², guaranteeing complete autonomy during the heating season. Geothermal heat pumps utilize the stable temperature of the ground, ensuring steady thermal comfort at any time of year.
If necessary, COR-Energy can operate as a Point of Invincibility (resilience hub).
Additionally, COR-Energy features 10 fuel dispensers offering all popular types of fuel and autogas from suppliers in Germany, Romania, and Croatia.
Crayfish Farm
Part of the COR-Energy complex concept is the creation of a farm for Australian blue crayfish. The meat of the Australian blue crayfish is considered dietary and a delicacy, similar to lobster or langoustine meat. In the early stages of the farm’s operation, crayfish meat will be used in dishes at the SuGuard restaurant, and as crayfish production increases, it will be available for takeaway. In the future, guests will also be able to visit the farm and learn interesting facts about the life of Australian crayfish.
Balanced Nutrition Restaurant
An important feature of COR-Energy will be the SuGuard restaurant and shop, which embody the concept of balanced nutrition. In addition to everything else, Tygran Amalyan is a certified physician, and in his projects, he promotes a strictly healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the store’s assortment will include only products without added sugar.
The Lake
The main decorative element of COR-Energy is a picturesque lake located in the center of the complex, surrounded by ornamental plants. Guests will be able to relax by the lake when visiting the complex.
“We believe that business development should go hand in hand with care for people and society. That is why, from the very first steps of COR-Energy, we are embedding principles of social responsibility at the core of our activities,” says Tygran Amalyan. “We plan to direct our efforts toward charitable initiatives related to health. We will reveal details a little later, as we are just starting operations. But even today, we can say: it is important to us that COR-Energy is not only an energy-efficient complex, but also a place where business helps society.”
